The survey, which covers more than 10,000 full-time office workers around the world, shows that the proportion of office workers using AI has increased by 23% since January 2024 and by 60% since September 2023. Survey results show that 81% of AI users believe that AI tools not only improve their work efficiency, but also improve the quality of their work. In addition, employees using AI also showed higher scores on other employee engagement metrics, including 13% greater engagement with relevant people, documents and resources, 18% greater work-life balance, and improved stress management. Overall job satisfaction increased by 23%, overall job satisfaction increased by 24%, job flexibility increased by 25%, and passion for work increased by 29%.
Other key findings include:
- Executive eagerness to integrate AI tools into business operations has increased sevenfold since January 2024 and is now a top concern, overtaking inflation or broader economic concerns.
-73% of office workers believe the AI craze is justified and that the technology "will have a significant impact." People who have used AI tools are more convinced.
- Enthusiasm is growing: 47% of global office workers today express enthusiasm for AI handling work tasks (compared to 42% at the beginning of the year).
- Desire to use AI varies by age and gender. The survey explains: “The youngest workers show the greatest enthusiasm for AI, with 55% of workers aged 18 to 29 saying they are excited about AI and automating parts of their jobs, compared with 55% of workers aged 60 and over. to 33%.”
Additionally, research shows that AI can do much more than just improve productivity.
