Recently, Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University and Shanghai Institute of Science and Intelligence jointly released the first domestic cardiovascular specialist AI model "CardioMind". This breakthrough technology marks the official entry of the field of cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment into the era of intelligence. The launch of this model not only brings new technological innovations to the medical industry, but also provides more efficient and accurate solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
The "Sincere" big model is called "AI Heart Doctor" in the industry. Its core goal is to improve diagnosis and treatment efficiency by imitating the thinking methods of top cardiovascular experts. Ge Junbo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and director of the Department of Cardiology, emphasized at the press conference that the model is not just a simple data input, but more importantly, through deep learning and reasoning capabilities, AI can think and judge like an expert. By integrating various forms of diagnosis and treatment data, this model realizes the intelligence of the entire process from medical history collection to auxiliary diagnosis, significantly improving the diagnosis and treatment level of cardiovascular diseases.

According to the research and development team of the "Guanxin" model, the knowledge base of this model focuses on the field of cardiovascular diseases, covering multiple subspecialties such as coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, and heart failure. Its biggest highlight is that it breaks through the limitations of traditional AI models and can process multimodal data such as electrocardiogram, ultrasound imaging and laboratory examinations. This ability to integrate multimodal data allows doctors to obtain more accurate auxiliary diagnosis when facing complex cases, thereby improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment.
Academician Ge Junbo revealed that the number of people receiving treatment in the Department of Cardiology at Zhongshan Hospital last year reached 820,000. With the help of the "Sincere Viewing" model, doctors can not only treat more patients, but also effectively reduce the pressure of daily work. Zhou Jian, director of Zhongshan Hospital, said that with the widespread application of AI technology, medical work will gradually realize "autonomous driving". Doctors can focus more on the research of difficult cases and in-depth communication with patients, thereby improving the overall quality of medical services.
However, the security of medical data and the ethical issues of AI remain major challenges facing the industry. In order to solve the data security problem, the "Guanxin" big model team has established a strict data firewall to ensure that patient privacy information is encrypted. In addition, the application of AI in medical decision-making also requires more complete legal norms to ensure that doctors’ legal responsibilities are clearly defined, thereby promoting the healthy development of AI technology in the medical field.
Looking ahead, the "Seeing the Heart" big model will further optimize functions such as individualized treatment decision support, machine learning to predict disease risks, and combining imaging data to assist surgical planning. By transforming the experience of top experts into replicable "digital diagnosis and treatment power", this model will accelerate the sinking of high-quality medical resources, provide more patients with efficient and accurate medical services, and promote continuous progress in the field of cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment.
