This article analyzes Harvard Business Review articles on the issue of trust in artificial intelligence. The article points out that although artificial intelligence has advantages in rational thinking and computing power, its lack of emotion and vulnerability make it difficult to gain people's trust. Trust is built on mutual care, empathy, and responsibility, which are exactly what current AI systems lack. Therefore, even if AI excels in a specific field, people are still more likely to trust humans with whom they have an emotional connection.
A Harvard Business Review article analyzed that artificial intelligence dominates in terms of rational thinking and computing power, but the fundamental reason for people’s lack of trust in it is that AI seems to lack emotion and vulnerability. Building trust requires mutual care, empathy, and responsibility, which current AI systems do not have. So even though AI excels in specific areas, people still tend to trust those with whom they have an emotional connection.
All in all, this article reveals an important social issue in the development of artificial intelligence: how to bridge the gap between the rational ability of artificial intelligence and human emotional needs, thereby improving people's trust in artificial intelligence. This requires further development of artificial intelligence technology itself, as well as society's in-depth thinking on the ethics and application of artificial intelligence.
