ByteDance recently launched a "deep thinking" reasoning model for its AI assistant Doubao. This innovative feature aims to completely change the user's interactive experience in scenarios such as Q&A, search, writing and reading.

This model allows users to have a deeper understanding of the AI's thinking process by showing the complete logical chain of AI's problem solving, including steps such as self-question, hypothesis verification and error correction. This visual way of thinking not only improves users' trust in AI, but also makes AI feedback more transparent and explainable.

This technology is developed based on the research and development of the Doubao 1.5 base model, and thanks to the technological breakthrough of the deep inference model Doubao-1.5-pro-AS1-Preview, it fully utilizes the computing power advantages of Test Time Scaling through RL algorithm and engineering optimization. The deep thinking model also incorporates the concept of thinking chain (COT). By training the model to output intermediate steps, it simulates the human thinking process, and enhances the intelligence and humanization of AI.
The launch of this function not only improves the performance of Doubao, but also brings a brand new interactive experience to users, indicating that AI will usher in broader development prospects in the fields of Q&A, search, writing and reading.
