Google recently launched two important new features for its Gemini Artificial Intelligence Assistant: the Canvas Collaborative Workspace and Audio Overviews Audio Overviews, further enhancing the practicality and user experience of its AI assistant.
The Canvas feature provides users with an interactive workspace that enables users to collaborate with AI to create documents and code. This feature supports real-time display of changes and allows users to discuss and modify content through an integrated chat interface. It is particularly noteworthy that Canvas is able to generate instant previews of HTML and React code, and completed documents can be exported directly to Google Docs. Industry analysts pointed out that this feature is quite similar to the same name feature launched by ChatGPT last fall.
Audio Overviews feature allows users to convert written content such as documents, presentations and research reports into podcast-style conversations, which are analyzed and discussed by two AI hosts. Google demonstrates this technology by converting the output of its updated free in-depth research feature into AI audio podcasts. These audio summary initially appeared on the Notebook LM platform. It is worth noting that, like other AI-generated content, these audio content may contain inaccurate information and users should maintain appropriate judgment when using it. Currently, Audio Overviews feature only supports English and can be accessed through the Internet and mobile platforms. Users can download and share created audio files.
