OpenAI recently announced that the research preview version of its latest research development of artificial intelligence agent Operator is officially open to users aged 18 and above in Europe, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. This feature is currently only available to Pro users, with a subscription fee of $200 per month. OpenAI said that after completing the initial test, the company plans to gradually expand the Operator functionality to Plus, Team and Enterprise users and integrate it directly into the ChatGPT platform to improve the user experience.

As early as February 21, 2025, OpenAI had already promoted Operator to many countries and regions, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and the United Kingdom. However, users in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland were not able to use this feature at that time. OpenAI said they have been working on this issue and ultimately achieved openness to these regions.
As an AI proxy that can operate web browsers independently, Operator is currently only available to ChatGPT Pro users. It is worth noting that OpenAI also released the Deep Research feature shortly after the launch of Operator, which was officially launched in the EU region only recently. This series of initiatives shows that OpenAI is constantly optimizing its AI tools to meet the needs of users around the world.
With this expansion, OpenAI continues to promote the global deployment of its advanced AI tools, providing advanced artificial intelligence capabilities to users in more regions. This move not only demonstrates OpenAI's technical strength in the field of AI, but also lays a solid foundation for its future market expansion.
