Recently, Adobe announced an upgrade to its Adobe Stock service and launched an AI feature called "Customize". This new feature is designed to allow users to quickly adjust and optimize stock images without leaving the Adobe Stock platform. Users can use this tool to perform simple image editing to generate AI variants without having to spend a lot of time doing complex editing on other applications such as Photoshop.

Adobe Stock is a paid service that provides designers, marketers, and business users with millions of assets available to projects, including photos, videos, illustrations, vector graphics, 3D assets and templates, and more. Users can search, preview, and authorize these assets directly on the Adobe Stock website or through Adobe Creative Cloud apps such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. For those who do not use other Adobe applications, the Customize feature will help.
The core of the Customize feature is to enhance users' creative control over Adobe Stock assets. The tool uses Adobe Firefly technology, allowing users to edit and adjust images directly in Adobe Stock. Users can expand images, apply different styles, and make other adjustments, but these operations require generation credit.
It is worth noting that Adobe has previously provided Firefly AI technology to commercial users. In 2024, Adobe launched the Generation Editing and Generation Variants feature, allowing business users to use AI tools to generate image variations and perform background replacements, adjust aspect ratios, and apply new styles or compositions to edit. Now all users are able to “optimize multiple images at once”, including adjusting “aspect ratios to match project formats, and coordinating the styles of multiple images.” At the same time, Customize also allows users to view "search results and AI optimization history" so that they can review previous results when looking for images or making iterative modifications to assets.
The Customize feature is now available to Adobe Stock users. If you are a subscription user of an individual or business plan, or a user using credit, you can start using this new feature now. Adobe Stock's subscription plan starts at $30 per month, and users can get 10 assets or 1 video, and the generated credit is also included in the paid subscription.
