Waymo announced that its driverless carpooling service, Waymo One, is fully covered by Los Angeles County, and is available to all residents at any time. The service, which had previously been required to be on the waitlist, has now lifted restrictions, marking an important step in Waymo's driverless field and provides Los Angeles residents with a more convenient way to travel. Waymo said the move is the first phase of its larger expansion plan and will expand to other cities in the future to further improve its driverless network.
Recently, Waymo announced that its driverless carpooling service Waymo One has officially expanded to the entire Los Angeles County and is open to all customers. The service has cancelled the waitlist for local residents and allows Los Angeles residents to travel with driverless cars at any time.
Waymo said the service will expand from today to provide 24/7 driverless services. The company also said it will further expand its service scope in the future, with Los Angeles County currently being the first phase of the goal.

Waymo has been offering driverless services in Los Angeles for some time, but has previously been required to be on the waitlist. The company also launched a small business in San Francisco and Phoenix before announcing similar expansion plans. Waymo One plans to land in Austin and Atlanta in the near future.
The company said a total of more than 300,000 Los Angeles residents have joined the waitlist for the service, and Waymo One has completed “hundreds of thousands of paid trips across the city.” Waymo said these driverless services also received high ratings, with an average rating of 4.7 stars (out of 5 stars). A recent survey showed that 98% of customers were satisfied with the service.
The full opening of Waymo One indicates that the gradual maturity of autonomous driving technology and has begun to be applied to real life on a large scale. I believe that in the future, driverless technology will bring more convenience and changes to people's travel.
