Click on Friends, then click Add Friend, and then enter the name of the friend.
After entering the game, you can click on the player's avatar in the upper right corner to find your game ID (usually a number), and then send it to other players. The invited player copies this ID, enters the game, selects Add Friend under the social button, and pastes the game ID just copied into the box to submit.
Create a room, and then click on the avatar of the player you want to add as a friend in the room. A green plus button will appear. After clicking, you can send a friend request to the player 2.
Select Add Friend via the game's menu button or shortcut "F" and enter the nickname of the player you want to add.
In the chat window, right-click the name of the player you want to add as a friend and select "Add as Friend" from the pop-up menu.
