There are many ways to convert characters into sketches. The following method is the most common and quickest. The general process: first decolorize the photo, then use some filters to create a color-like sketch-like texture, and then change the layer blending mode to get the desired effect.

1. Open the original image material, press Ctrl + Shift + U to remove the color, and then duplicate the background layer.
2. Press Ctrl + I to invert the background copy and change the layer blending mode to "Color Dodge".
