1. Open the character close-up picture.
2. Press CTRL+J to copy the background layer to get layer 1, and set the mode to Screen.
The picture looks much brighter, and the skin is also much whiter.
3. Then add a mask to layer 1, click the icon at the bottom of the layer panel, and select the layer mask (there will be a white border when selected)
When the mask is selected, execute Image-Apply Image
Now the light and dark parts are out
