A Hanyu Pinyin font derived from Lato.
Introduction
This font is a font used to enter and display Chinese pinyin. It was inspired by the article I read earlier that I transformed Arial into pinyin fonts. Now this article is no longer found.
This font uses the OpenType concatenation feature to input and display tone Chinese pinyin. Based on Lato fonts, the glyphs are optimized according to the standard style of Chinese pinyin (such as a and g are displayed as ɑ and ɡ).
Input method
- Directly use Unicode to enter the pinyin letters with tones, such as huān yíng shǐ yòng.
- When the continuous write state is on , enter "Letter + Number" to combine it into tone pinyin letters. For example, hua1n yi2ng shi3 yo4ng → huān yíng shǐ yòng. 1, 2, 3 , and 4 represent yin flat, yang flat, upward and downward sounds , that is, one, two, three, and four tones.
Note: The tone of "ü" can be replaced by "v", such as v1 v2 v3 v4 → ǖ ǘ ǚ ǜ, and the "ü" without tone can be entered as "v0". In addition, v01 v02 v03 v04, ü1 ü2 ü3 ü4 can also be displayed as ǖ ǘ ǚ ǜ.
Things to note
- Before using it, you need to open the write-in mode. For example, in Word 2016, you need to click the "Advanced" tab in the "Font" dialog box and select "Hybrid" in "OpenType Functions" as "History and Any" or "All".
- The continuous write function supports capitalization. For example, HUA1N YI2NG SHI3 YO4NG → HUĀN YÍNG SHǏ YÒNG.
