Open Pet Feeder

Final work to finish my degree 'Telecommunication Systems Engineering', at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

• Work name: Diseño y automatización de un sistema de alimentación OpenSource para animales a través de la tecnología LoRa
• Promotion: 2020-2021

Goals

• Design a feeding system for animals with Open Source technologies.
• Perform simulations for the radio link between the animal shelter and the site of our gateway.
• Build the prototype and test it in controlled environment and, subsequently, in a definitive environment (refuge).

Achievements achieved

• The refuge device is suitable for working in internet -free and no electricity connection areas.
• Remote control of a suitable device to feed and spend animals.
• Direct Lora radio link (without repeaters) several kilometers between Gateway and device.
• Control and sending website to the device.
• Gateway Kit + device, below 100 euros.
