Project Introduction

chatgpt-vits-waifu is a project that uses chatgpt's API and vits voice synthesis to realize voice chat with AI wife.
The project has been improved on the basis of the ChatWaifu project of the cjyaddone boss, mainly adding memory functions and information aggregation functions, greatly improving the capacity of dialogue. Implements continuous long conversation chat function with custom virtual characters.
In addition, the project also implements the function of automatic translation of text in Japanese dialogue.

Environment installation

run

1. Switch to the root directory where the project is located in the command line
2. Enter the following command to run the program: python ChatWaifu.py

Things to note

0. To use the chatgpt API, you need to do a scientific internet access (VPN) first.
1. Before running ChatWaifu.py for the first time, please make sure that you fill in your OpenAI Key, Baidu Translation Platform API, model address and other information in ChatWaifu.py.
2. Please place the vits voice model in the ./model directory and fill in your model address and corresponding configuration file address in ChatWaifu.py.
3. The initial character settings and dialogue records are saved in the ./chat_recoed folder. Please change the character settings as needed (please back up your initial character settings, and the program will be automatically replaced with dialogue records after running)

Functional introduction

1. Memory function

chatgpt-vits-waifu has memory function, which can record conversations in real time during conversations and continue the previous conversations the next time they run.

2. Information aggregation function

When the number of chat content exceeds the openai limit, chatgpt-vits-waifu will automatically summarize the previous article.
It will generate a summary text to replace it based on the previous dialogue information, thereby reducing the number of tokens and increasing the conversation capacity.

3. Japanese automatic translation function

chatgpt-vits-waifu can automatically translate Japanese conversations into Chinese. It is convenient for you to use the vits Japanese model.
