"Moda Brush Font" is an open source Chinese font based on Hengshan Brush. The font of Hengshan brush is from the Japanese calligrapher Qingliu Hengshan. The previous text + symbol number is about 13,000 characters, and the modified text + symbol number is 24,896 characters, and 11,281 characters are added. It can be used for free and you are welcome to apply, optimize and revise freely!

Font features

Make up for the shortcomings of common Chinese characters in traditional Chinese

The first phase of the supplement has filled the 4,808 commonly used characters listed by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan. The new characters are currently slightly longer, and the Chinese characters have added 6,367 characters. Please refer to the text file added_glyph.txt.

Note: Since it is a complementary word for "not the original author", even if the newly added words try to be consistent in style, it will inevitably be somewhat different from the original author. There are some "super ugly" characters that are supplemented with, and generally, they should not be encountered. If a kind-hearted person remade those ugly words, please send them to me again, thank you.

5 types of word weights (Style)

ExtraLight

The original Hengshan brush font is placed in the Regular font weight, and the process-based new font weights are automatically generated for ExtraLight, Light, Medium, and Bold. The weight of the Light word is to slightly adjust the original Kouzan Brush Font a little bit. In the weight of ExtraLight, some strokes may disappear due to too thin strokes. In the weight of Medium and Bold, some strokes may be too thick to overlap and difficult to identify. If you need bold characters, you can first challenge using Bold characters to see. If you find that the effect is not as expected, then use Medium characters to switch to.

It is not certain that every word weight generated automatically is a complete word. It is common for misjudgment after all the program, so the strokes that are not in the Regular word weight may disappear.

There are many blank words in Hengshan Brush font, which will make it impossible for the system to automatically use preset fonts to supplement characters, and the blank words have been cleared.

Adjust the punctuation mark position

The full-shaped punctuation marks of Hengshan brush fonts are designed for Japan and are adjusted to a common use of centering in Taiwan. Half-shaped backslash, adjusted to non-Japanese usage.

The original Hengshan brush font is "媺", and the word "黑" on the right is incorrect, with three strokes missing, and other strokes have been used to replace it.
Yu Yu secretly used the commonly used Taiwanese, not the commonly used Japanese.

Web Font Service

Web fonts are used for font display on web pages. Visitors do not need to install font files in advance, and they can still see special font effects. The word "Fixed" lacks design beauty, so the effect is not satisfactory, but it is better than nothing.

The word "大" is written in Japanese in Chinese, but it has not been changed to "大" in Taiwan, and there are additional characters for the word "大".
Welcome to add words together. If you also make your own characters and want to update them into Moda Brush font, please give me your ttf font file through email ([email protected]). Thank you. Since Max is a novice in complementing characters, it is inevitable that it is a bit ugly. If you challenge the same character, you are welcome to send it to me to merge. Of course, you can also give it a new font name.
