This font is a font subtracting font based on Siyuan bold. This font only includes Latin letters and subtracted characters to avoid excessive font size.
The subtracted character score is written in combination characters (Ligatures) . If the software you use does not have the combined character function or does not enable the combined character function, the subtracted character score will not be displayed.
This font basically only has the following characters, which are not all the subtracted characters that exist, so if you are missing one, please send an Issue .
This is a sans-serif font for writing Jianzipu, based off Noto Sans SC. This font only includes latin glyphs and qin font ligatures.
Ligatures are used to type jianzipu , if your software/word processor does not support logics or does not have them enabled, this will not work.
Generally only the Jianzipu characters detailed below are included, please make an issue if you need any more characters , I recognize this is not a complete set.
Each character starts with a command character, such as slashback , slash / , couplet- - etc., and add the required font code.
A character subtracting character can be spelled from multiple characters. For example, the characters required for "Big Finger 7 Emblem 6 minutes hook 7 strings" are: hook 7 strings, big fingers, 7 emblem, and 6 minutes, and the character code is: 7g/da/7^6 . First enter the "bottom" part (hook 7 strings), then add the suffix, and do not add spaces in the middle. The suffix can be added in any order.
If you want to enter, you can use || to combine the two subtracted characters. Do not add spaces to both sides, otherwise the kerning will be wrong.
Every character component starts with a command character, such as backslash, forward slash, hyphen, etc. followed by the required character code.
One jianzipu character is made up of many components, so a "big finger 7 emblem 6 minute hook 7 strings" is split into the right hand fingering and position, the left hand fingering, the hui number, and the hui fraction: 7g/da/7^6 . The base character block is written first and all modifiers are added on, with no spaces.
For combining characters such as , use two vertical bars and make sure to have no spaces between the characters being combined, otherwise the spacing will be wrong.
The oblique rear bar refers to the "bottom", which refers to the right finger method and the part of the string being played.
Backslash commands refer to body blocks, those which describe the right hand technique, along with string number.

" # " represents a number from 1 to 7.
There are also some left-hand and special characters written in slanted back bars:
There are also several special/left hand technique symbols written with backslash:

See below for how to add numbers to calendar and scattered #.
- DashThe couplet refers to small numbers up and down, middle and lower. Dashes represent the middle small numbers used for movement or calendar.

The outside cannot be used together with other numbers.
/ slash Forwardslash with ^ complement font size CaretIt is used for left-hand fingering method, emblem position, as well as signs such as scatter, scatter, scatter, and notes.
Used in left hand fingerprinting and position, as well as general techniques including scattered, simple, broad, chaotic, notes.

|| Combining CharactersCuo (and countercut) means to match the two words together. The following is to be placed between two characters.
combines two jianzipu blocks, and goes in the space between them.

The otf can be downloaded from releases when available.
This font is made using fontlab. You will require fontlab to open the source vfc file. Alternatively you can open the font file itself using another program.
This font does not come with any Han character glyphs so it is advised to also download Noto Sans SC separately if you want to add to it.
Noto Sans SC is the base font, and is licensed under the SIL Open Font License and this is also licensed accordingly. The base font is also in this repository (for convenience).
You can use them freely in your products & projects - print or digital, commercial or otherwise. However, you can't sell the fonts on their own.
This isn't legal advice, please consider consulting a lawyer and see the full license for all details.
