Norgesnett API v1.0

Norgesnett The API integration allows you to retrieve information on electricity prices and capacity joints directly from Norgesnett. This is useful for monitoring your power consumption and understanding how the net rent is calculated.

What does Norgesnett API integration do? Integration retrieves the following data:

Energy prices: Real time information on cheap (night) and normal (day) energy price. Capacity joint: Information on what capacity joint (step) you are in, based on your power consumption. Tariff details: Information on current tariffs and prices.

What do you need to use the integration?

Prerequisites:

API Key from Norgesnett (API_Key): XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Measurement Point ID (Meting_Point_ID): XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Update Interval in Timer (Update_interval): 24 Hours
Standard URL (API_URL): "https://gridtariff-pi.norgesnett.no/api/v1.01/tariff"

Step 1:

Retrieve API Key from Norgesnett. https://gridtariff-pi.norgesnett.no/swagger/index.html
You must have measuring point ID ready to retrieve this. (More detailed guide in bottom)

Step 2:

After the layout, a sensor, such as Sensor.Norgesnett_tariff, will be updated with the energy prices. You can see attributes like:
Cheap_Total: Cheap energy price (night).
Normal_total: Normal energy price (day).
Capacity Led_Stre: Your current capacity joint.

Norgesnett uses a capacity -based grid model where the grid rent consists of two parts:
Capacity joint: Based on how much power you use at the same time.
Energy joints: Based on how much power you totally consume.

Tariff id	Identifier for the tariff.
Tariff key	Type of tariff.
Product	Name of the tariff product.
Company name	The name of the company that delivers the tariff.
Company org no	The organization number of the company.
Title	Description of the tariff.
Last Updateded	When the tariff data was last updated.
Resolution	Update interval in minutes.
Cheap energy id	ID for night price (22-06).
Cheap total	Total price per kWh night (22-06).
Cheap total ex water	Price excl. VAT night (22-06).
Cheap taxes	VAT for night price (22-06).
Normal Energy ID	ID for daily price (06-22).
Normal total	Total price per kWh day (06-22).
Normal total ex water	Price excl. VAT day (06-22).
Normal taxes	VAT for daily price (06-22).
Capacity Lead Value my	Minimum power consumption for this step.
Capacity Lead Value Max	Maximum power consumption for this step.

Capacity joints unit	Unit of measurement for power consumption.
Capacity joints monthly total	Monthly cost for the capacity level.
Capacity joints monthly ex vat	Monthly cost without VAT.

Capacity Lead Currency	Currency used in the tariff.
Capacity Lead Unit Measure	Unit of measurement for monthly cost.
Capacity step step	Step based on 3 highest peaks.
Update	When data was last retrieved from Norgesnett.

These attributes give you a detailed overview of your energy costs, the capacity level and how the tariff is calculated.

By using Norgesnett API integration, you can gain better insight into your power consumption and optimize the costs based on current tariffs and capacity levels.

How to generate API key on Norgesnett

Log onto MinSide on Norgesnett

1. Select Abonnement .
2. Note your measurement point number: Målepunktid (EAN) (18 digits).
3. Note your customer number: k.nr: 99xxxx (6 digits).
