The researchers of the study are trying to provide a solution to the problem of “pharmacy tourism” - where a patient is forced to move from a pharmacy to another in search of particular medicine. Proponents proposed a medicine mapping system that incorporates a Geographical Information System (GIS) to demonstrate the geographical route of the nearest pharmacy having to search for a particular medicine.
