A tool for building a self-built video website, which places personal downloaded videos into the web application directory and can be viewed online. The layout is similar to FTP.

Suitable for scenes

Video sources access websites at low speeds such as abroad, while local cache space is insufficient or local viewing is not portable. Because of the privacy of some resources, I don’t want to spread them to public cloud disks such as Baidu Cloud.

How to use

Clone the project and put it in the webapps working directory of tomcat . You can see it in your browser by constantly adding videos to your subdirectories. If the server did not have Java and Tomcat installed, please install them for Baidu first.

Video transcoding script explanation

The following scripts depend on the ffmpeg tool, please pre-install.

• make_m3u8.sh is used to transcode mp4 videos to generate m3u8 HLS format. The latter is more suitable for viewing large videos. Because when playing mp4, you need to wait for the server to load all the videos into the server memory first. Large capacity mp4 is preloaded slowly at this time.

bash make_m3u8.sh 你的mp4文件路径
bash make_m3u8.sh 你的包含mp4文件的目录（不递归）

• ts2mp4.sh is used to convert ts format (video clips of m3u8 HLS) to mp4.
