This tutorial was created by @aeilot, with a concise language, and is specially designed to solve the situation where teenagers are not familiar with search engines and ask others about it. Of course, the author sometimes makes some errors. Welcome to submit a PR to correct it, and you are also welcome to translate this tutorial to other languages! ? Gitee Mirror
Recently, I often meet some classmates who come to ask me some questions that are obviously found on search engines. I asked them why they didn't search online, but found that they had actually searched, but the effect was not good: some people directly typed the entire question, and some people missed keywords. These are the essence of search engine use. So, I wrote this tutorial to help solve the problem of using search engines.
The search engine I am talking about here refers to the online search engine. The definition in Wikipedia is given below:
Web search engine (English: web search engine) is a system designed to search on the World Wide Web, which means that it automatically collects specific information from the World Wide Web and provides it to users for querying.
The working principle of search engines can be roughly divided into collecting information, sorting information and accepting queries. In order to make the article simpler, I will not expand on the in-depth knowledge here. This article focuses on how to use it.
There are also academic search engines:
I think efficient search only requires attention: simple words and shocking meaning
Simplicity, as the name suggests, is to make your search as simple as possible. When searching, keywords should be extracted from the question. For example, when I want to know高锰酸钾制取氧气的文字表达式是什么, I just need to write高锰酸钾制取氧气文字表达式; similarly,怎么写检讨书时, I even just need to search for检讨书; when I want to know 《将进酒》是谁写的, I just need to query将进酒作者. If you are not sure about the name of the content you are searching for, you should make fewer accurate restrictions and replace them with more fragmented keywords. If it is in English, the plural and third-person plural should be removed. Although some search engines will automatically remove the words "xxx's xxx" and punctuation marks when conducting queries, they should still minimize their use when searching. Also try not to have questions like "how" and "how", and do not have to be polite to search engines - do not have to have a similar "When will it take for winter vacation?" but write it as "Winter vacation time".
To be shocked is to make your search description as complete as possible. Don’t just pursue simplicity. In some cases, you still need to give limited ones: for example, when searching for苹果, if you refer to the apples of fruits, it is best to write苹果水果in order to improve efficiency; similarly, if you want to search for Apple, you should write苹果公司, which can be simplified to苹果公司. If it is not limited, it is possible that the first page of the search results will be filled with other meanings of this keyword, which will reduce efficiency when searching.
For more advanced limited methods, see Advanced Tips.
If I want to get results for multiple keywords at the same time when I search, I can use | , i.e. "or". Note: When using | to separate keywords, you must add spaces, | must be half a corner . For example:东京| 塔.
If I do not want to get results for a certain keyword when searching, I can use - , i.e. "Decrease". Note: Use - , be sure to add spaces before it , for example:苹果-水果.
If I just want to get results for a certain website, I can add site:xxx网站before or after the entire search , for example: site:blog.aeilot.top 数码.
If I want to search for files in one format, I can add filetype:xxx网站before or after the entire search , for example: filetype:pdf 物理课本. When searching for files without specifying the file type, you can use filetype:all .
If I want the URL of my search results to contain a certain field, I can add inurl:xxx , for example: inurl:pan PPT模版, and I can find all relevant results with the URL with pan .
If I want the title of my search results to contain a certain field, I can add intitle:xxx , for example: intitle:免费PPT模版, and I can find all relevant results with免费titles.
If I search for works, such as literary works or artistic works, I can add the title of the book, such as: 《星际穿越》 .
If I don't want to disassemble the keywords I searched for, you can add quotes, such as: “九年级化学“
